The Indian girls have started off well in soccer with three wins under their belt so far.
They will have to wait until Saturday, Sept. 28, to try their mettle against Century, though, as the Tuesday, Sept. 3, game was postponed due to lightning.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, Preston travelled to Marsh Valley. They once again scored five goals against the Eagles to win 5-2. Both Eagle goals were from penalty kicks.
“We got off to a great start again scoring in the third minute when Tess Hobbs bent a corner in for a goal. But the remainder of the first half was a struggle,” said coach Brandon Lyon. “We struggled to find a rhythm offensively and consequently didn’t get many good looks. But we came out in the second half and played like we were capable of and were able to put the game away.”
