PHS runners underway

Preston Indian runners traveled to Shelley on Friday, Aug. 30, for the first cross-country competition of the season.

The Saucony Sugar XC Scramble fielded 19 men’s teams and the Preston boys placed ninth overall. The top five placers for the Indians were: Kendon Harrison, 19:27; Jordan Wright, 19:37; Kaden Shumway, 19:50; Christian Fuller, 19:58; and Jonah Wilson, 20:06.

The Preston women’s team placed fourth out of 17 teams. The top five Indian placers included: Caitlin Elgan, 21:07; Aunika Crowther, 21:58; Tori Groll, 22:09; Rebecca Visser, 23:37; and Kayla Palmer, 24:02.

The Indians travel to Idaho Falls for the Tiger/Grizz Invitational at Freeman Park on Friday, Sept. 13.
