Local businessman Kelly Spackman kissed a goat as part of the Relay for Life fundraising event on the evening of Aug. 2, in front of a large crowd.
The “Kiss the Goat” campaign raised $750 for Franklin County Medical Center Home Care to donate to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
There were four participants in this year’s contest and donation boxes were set up in different businesses throughout the county.
Dax Keller, manager and owner of Keller Tires, came in second in voting.
Franklin County Sheriff Dave Fryer placed third and Preston City Council President Saundra Hubbard came in fourth place
Organizers would like to thank the participants, the community and the businesses for all their donations and support.
FCMC is planning to sponsor the event again next year.
