    Under the direction of band and choir director, Nate Woodward, the Pirate performing arts department put on their “Moonlight Serenade,” an evening of dining and dancing to raise funds for the band and choir students to travel.

    Preston Junior High students improved their school grounds for Earth Day last week. Installation of a watering system delayed the project, but youth enjoyed laying sod, picking up pinecones, and turning the soil around the trees. All science classes participated, said teacher Janele Boehme.

    The Idaho Transportation Board will travel to southeast Idaho, May 18-19, for a tour of the transportation department’s District 5 on Wednesday, and a business meeting on Thursday at Idaho State University’s Pond Student Union.

    The Aggie girls’ soccer coach, football coach, volleyball coach and boys’ basketball coaches came to Preston last week to have a sandwich dinner with their fans.
