The Campbell Soup Foundation presented Preston Community Food Pantry, Inc. with a Dollars for Doers grant totaling $3,000.

Dollars for Doers programs, or volunteer grant programs, are corporation-wide efforts to encourage employees to volunteer. The program offers employees grant money depending on the amount of hours they volunteer in a year. The money can be donated to any nonprofit organization, but Pepperidge Farm decided to donate to Preston Community Food Pantry, Inc.

“If Campbell Soup employees, in this case Pepperidge Farm, do 25 hours volunteer work in a year for us, we get $500,” said Steven Aust, a member of the Preston Community Food Pantry, Inc. Board of Directors.

Six employees completed the necessary 25 hours of volunteer service and raised $3,000 total for Preston Community Food Pantry, Inc., a nonprofit organization attempting to eliminate hunger and increase nutrition education among families in southeastern Idaho.

“The fund drive was very successful,” Aust said.
