WESTON – Weston’s Pioneer Day celebration will be held on Saturday, July 20, and will continue an annual tradition with many different activities including an airplane candy drop and a greased-pig scramble.
“It’s going to be a good, old–fashioned celebration,” said Mayor Camille Larsen, who is helping organize and coordinate the event this year. “There will be many different things going on to entertain folks.”
Activities on Saturday include a 5k fun run at 8 a.m. Monies raised from the event will help purchase a disabled swing that will be placed in the park. The parade lineup will start at 9 a.m. and the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. It will travel down Main Street. There is no entry fee.
Anyone who would like to participate in the parade should call Woodward’s Country Store at (208) 747-3373, Larsen said.
