“It’s been a great move for my family and me,” Pearson said. “The job has been everything that I expected and more.”

The law enforcement in Franklin County has helped Pearson adapt to the change, he said.

“The law enforcement does a good job here. Everything is well investigated,” he said. “It makes my job a lot easier when law enforcement helps me like they do here.”

Pearson won the election for county prosecutor despite losing the Republican primary election last November in Pocatello.

Pearson got his name on the ballot for the general election in Franklin County after former prosecutor Todd Garbett became a judge in Bear Lake County and forfeited his position as the local Republican candidate.
