Seven contestants will compete in the Miss Idaho Days Scholarship Pageant, Friday, June 28 at the Franklin Stake Center at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation.

Gabriella Montes De Oca, Adeline Pugmire, Heather Malcolm, Madilyn Olsen, Jordyn Wilson, Brianna Crosgrove and Melissa Shaffer will compete for scholarship money in the “When You Wish Upon A Star” themed competition.

“The pageant is a tradition,” pageant organizer Debbie Porter said. “It’s been going on for many years. There have been some years where we haven’t had it because we don’t have enough participants, but we try to have one every single year.”

All contestants will win a $100 scholarship. The winner will win $350 in addition and $250 will be awarded to the runner-up in addition.

The contestants will be featured in a production number and a talent competition. A judge’s interview and luncheon will be held earlier that day.

The emcee for this year’s pageant will be Bryce Wood, the lead singer for Wood. Other special guests will be McKenzie Hansen, the current Miss Idaho Days Queen, and Kennedy Bingham, Franklin County’s Distinguished Young Woman. Both guests will perform at the pageant.
