Students from Thatcher Elementary, whose school borders the Bear River at the north end of Franklin County in Thatcher, Idaho, received a terrific surprise. Manager Russell Hall of the North Logan Walmart, donated over $700 worth of General Mills Box Tops For Education to their small school of 80 students.

Walmart sponsored a Box Tops for Education convention in Salt Lake City, for local box top coordinators to attend, as well as managers from all Utah Walmarts. JanaLe Fox, box top coordinator of 15 years for the Thatcher school was in attendance, as well as Hall and other Walmart employees from the North Logan Walmart.

General Mills shared generous donations with the attending Walmart managers, and in return, the Thatcher Elementary benefited greatly. Over the past 15 years, the average box tops money for Thatcher has been around $500.
