Ken Gifford was named principal of Franklin County High School last week. He will also serve as the assistant principal at the Preston Junior High School. The Preston School District did an internal search and he (Gifford) was one of the original teachers when the school was organized. He has some administrative experience, said Joel Wilson, district superintendent.
“One of the many hats Wynn Costley wore was that of Franklin County High School Principal. The district is lucky to have Ken Gifford on staff as an administrator at Preston Junior High School and made the decision to assign him Franklin County High School duties, along with his responsibilities at the junior high,” Wilson said. “Mr. Gifford was a strong choice to take over the responsibilities of administrator.”
