City cleanup begins

Preston’s annual spring cleanup has started and will conclude on Friday, May 3.

Material is being collected on the north side of Oneida this week. The last day for collection on the north side of Preston is Friday, April 26. City crews will pick debris up on the south side of Oneida from April 29-May 3.

City council president Saundra Hubbard said the cleanup period was pushed back a couple of weeks this year because of cold and wet conditions.

Public works director John Balls asks residents to make sure they have all materials to the curb on the north side of Oneida by Thursday, April 25. On the south side of Oneida, items need to be placed at curbside by Thursday, May 2.
