Preston split a double header in Pocatello against Century on Thursday, April 18. The games were tight with Century winning the first 5-4, but Preston won the nightcap 3-1.
“Megan Porter was the pitcher with Celisa Talbot behind the plate in both games,” said Coach Ashlee Larsen. “For both players being very young, they helped take control of the game very well. Porter pitched a stronger second game and held the score to just one. She has improved so much and is very coachable. She works very hard at all she does and it is paying off.”
Century scored first in the opener but the Indians tied it up in the fourth inning with a double from Tawni Hall and two-RBI triples from Lacy Rallison. A two-run homerun by the Diamondbacks and one run on a Preston error gave Century the lead.
