Bingham named DYW 2013-2014

Kennedy Bingham, daughter of Ken and April and student at West Side High School, was named as the 2013-2014 Distinguished Young Woman for Franklin County, making her the 33rd high school junior to be chosen for the annual scholarship program sponsored by the Franklin County Farm Bureau.

Abbey Olsen, daughter of Michael and Carolyn, was chosen as first attendant, in addition to earning the scholastic award; chosen as second attendant is Millie Jo Geddes, daughter of Michael and Tristan; third attendant and winner of the talent award was Hailey Griffeth, daughter of John and Michele and fourth attendant was Vanessa Stokes, who also earned a scholarship for interview skills and self expression. She is the daughter of Derek and Eyra.

Tori Groll, daughter of Chris and Jeannine, was awarded the Spirit award. Whitnee Ann Smart earned the fitness award and Braxtyn Jade Moffitt was presented with the Be Your Best Self award. Whitnee is the daughter of Doran and Lori Ann, while Braxtyn is the daughter of Jason and Patriece. In all, $3,500 in scholarship money was earned by these eight young woman.
