The Indian girls started the week off well beating Malad at home 12-0 on Wednesday, April 10, and then Marsh Valley in Arimo 13-0 on Thursday, April 11.
Solid defense and no errors helped Preston avenge an earlier season loss to the Dragons on Wednesday. Seventeen hits for the Indians included Megan Porter going 4 for 4 with a triple, two runs and an RBI, and Shania Carlisle, 3 for 3 with two RBIs.
A slow start didn’t hurt Preston against the Eagles when they ended the game early with seven runs in the sixth inning. They recorded 16 hits, including seven doubles and a home run. Carlisle had a two-run shot in the sixth, while Porter and Lacee Rallison each had a pair of doubles. Porter had four RBIs and Carlisle scored three times.
