Hannah Waite will take her final walk as Franklin County’s 2012-13 Distinguished Young Woman April 13, as she turns her title over to the 2014 Young Woman. Hannah, the daughter of Adin and Eve Waite, Clifton, said it has been a year of collecting many unforgettable memories.

During the past year, Hannah has attended events throughout the county, such as parades, appearances at the county fair and other functions, along with her court of young women. She has participated in activities such as the Medical Center’s 5 K Fun Race and breakfast and Idaho Days, where she and her court manned a children’s booth, with games and face painting.

One of the most memorable experiences was representing Franklin County at the state competition in October, held in Idaho Falls, where she was chosen as one of the top ten girls and earned one of four fitness awards that were presented. ” Going to state was awesome,” said Waite. “All the girls were so fun and so talented.”
