Preston and Weston held their community Easter Egg Hunts Saturday at their respecting city parks. Preston’s egg hunt was sponsored and organized by Hunzeker Ford and Weston’s by Woodward’s Country Store.
Plastic eggs had been distributed to Preston businesses and prizes were inserted in them for the Preston hunt.
Families showed up in force to participate, Sheyenne Hunzeker said. The Preston event was fantastic, she added.
“It was fun! I think it was bigger and better than last year,” she said. “It was a sunny day and we had quite a few volunteers from the Preston Lions Club who came to help.”
KACH Radio came and played music for everyone. Dan Bartholomew set up some bounce houses. “It was great,” she said.
Weston’s Easter Egg Hunt organizer Gretta Woodward said the hunt was very successful and they had at least double the participants they had last year.
“We had a ‘golden egg’ hidden for each age group in the amount of $10 and we had over 3,000 eggs and prizes.“
Both organizers would like to thank all the businesses for helping make the Easter Egg Hunt possible for the kids.
