Paul Swainston, a member of the Franklin County Theater Arts Council, returned Friday evening with the new digital projector for the Worm Creek Opera House. The organization is going to hold a dinner to raise money to for the remainder of the projector installation and other expenses.
The dinner will be held on April 5, at 6 p.m., in the Robinson Building. After the dinner Swainston said those in attendance are invited to the Worm Creek Opera House to watch a movie.
The movie that will be shown is “The Impossible.” The movie was made from a true story of a family’s fight to survive the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
The price of the dinner and two movies is $100 per plate.
“The good news is we had the $25,000 needed to buy the projector, the bad news is we are only half way there,” Swainston said. “We need at least another $15,000 to buy a lens and install the projector.”
