LinxFoundation Humanitarian Mission is holding a free family self-reliance seminar for jr. high school students on Friday, March 22, at different times during the day. The seminar will be held in the library.
The foundation is training jr. high students to help them individually and their families learn successful financial principals.
The first seminar will begin at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. This program is to teach youth how to set financial goals.
Cache self-defense training will also be introducing them to youth leadership training.
“We are showing students and families how to set up budgets, start family businesses and other things that can help families get out of debt,” said organizer George W. Smith. “We will also be teaching the double entry book keeping system.”
The goal is to teach participants how to terminate debt and create an emergency cache reserve.
“We are especially focused on the youth, but the program is for all families,” Smith said.
Training guides are available.
