The final game was a real cliff hanger, said West Side FFA advisor Jim Summers, but the faculty team prevailed and won its fourth Donkey Basketball title.
The West Side FFA sponsored the Donkey basketball game on March 13 in front of a packed house.
The final game pitted the boys and girls basketball team against the faculty team, captained by Spencer Barzee, assistant superintendent of the district.
The game was tied and it went in to sudden-death overtime when Barzee sank a basket to take the title.
There were four teams involved in the ruckus.
Summers said the FFA would like to thank the public for its support.
The donkeys and equipment were provided by Donkey Sports Inc. from Entiat, Wash.
Monies raised will be used for the FFA banquet and awards.
“We don’t get rich, but we make a enough to help us get through the year and hopefully give everyone a good time,” Summers said.
