The Preston High School Cheer Squad placed second in Pom and third in Show categories at state this past weekend.

Members of Preston High School’s cheer squad pose for a moment after taking a second- and third-place trophy at a state competition last weekend.
This is the first time the team has placed in these categories at state since cheer changed to a IHSAA sanctioned sport.
Cheer advisor Pandi Elison said it’s been a terrific year and placing so high in several areas at state was a great way to cap it off.
“We want to thank the administration, staff and parents of the girls for all their support,” she said.
