Preston opened its baseball season Friday in Twin Falls with a 10-0 loss to Jerome.
“Our team played tough for the first four innings,” said Coach Brandon Ormond. “We had solid pitching by Jason Wade, who only allowed four runs in five innings of work. But due to it being early in the season, we made a pitching change when he reached 80 pitches.”
Dallin Fryar and Adam Burbank had Preston’s only hits.
“We had a hard time picking up the ball at the plate, but we were still aggressive,” said Ormond. “I felt very optimistic afterwards because we did a lot of things right.”
