Infrastructure work on the Horse Station at Cache Valley, located in Franklin, is expected to begin this summer.
The Horse Station is a proposed horse–sports and commercial mixed– use project planned for 167 acres, just off U.S. 91 near the Utah/Idaho border. Ultimately it will host training and boarding facilities, retail and commercial businesses, an equine veterinary center, indoor and outdoor arenas, a hotel, condominiums and cultural and educational elements
“Sahara Inc., a diversified construction service company based in Bountiful, has been designated as the general contractor for the equestrian complex,” said Earnest E. Bleinberger, principal of Strategy 5 LLC, who is the master developer.
“Sahara Inc. has provided professional design/ build and construction management services using a unique collaborative approach for the design and construction of commercial, industrial, institutional, retail, residential and sports facilities throughout the western United States since 1985.”
Bleinberger said Sahara and its president and CEO Thomas C. Mabey have long expressed a particular enthusiasm for the whole concept of the Horse Station.
