Preston High’s annual FFA breakfast will be held this Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Craner Agriculture Building on the school campus from 6:30-8 a.m.
The annual event started in 2005 and is provided free of charge as a token of appreciation to those businesses and individuals in the community that have supported the FFA chapter and vo-ag program during the year, according to Preston ag teacher Larin Crossley.
“Chapter funds are used to purchase the needed food. We also have some donated by Ritewoods, Lewiston IFA and Organic Valley,” he said.
“Other individuals allow us to borrow grills and items needed to put on the breakfast.”
Crossley said the event is planned by a committee of FFA members in conjunction with the FFA officers.
“They look forward to this and cook the breakfast and clean up afterwards. It has grown over the years and is a very positive annual event. It provides the FFA members a chance to serve others and show our chapter’s appreciation to the school and community,” he said.
