DAYTON – The West Side wrestling team hosted a match on Thursday and both Pirate seniors pinned all opponents on Senior Night.
Senior Carson Roberts sealed the deal for his 100th win at the meet. McCoy Roberts secured the title of the top-ranked wrestler in the district. McCoy defeated the number-two ranked wrestler in his weight class.
Other West Side wrestlers representing the Pirates included: junior Derek Wedel, 195 pounds; sophomores TJ Stokes, 98 pounds; Taylor Beckstead, 180 pounds; and Sage Reddest, 220 pounds.
Stokes and Reddest both lost their one match. Beckstead and Wedel also performed well. Both split their matches by losing one and winning one.
The participating schools included: Bear Lake, Soda Springs, Grace, Malad.
