The Thatcher Cemetery is getting full. The cemetery board is trying to locate relatives of people who have purchased plots years ago and have not had any burials in them or made any contact with anyone about them.

“The lots or family plots were sold years and years ago. Nobody in my family or the other families around here now know who these people are. We have several plots without ‘owners,’” said Nickole Robbins, the cemetery board secretary.

The lots were purchased by; T. Allsop, C. Eldredge, W.E. Peck, J. Toone, H. Peck, H. Hoopes, Peck, Folkman, Tom Reed, John Egbert, Collett, Max Bitton, Charles Bartlome, C. B. Coryell, Walt Harris, Knowlin, J. Hale Higley and Jim Scott.

“There have been no burials in these lots for decades. We need to know if these lots are going to be used and by who. We need names, addresses and telephone numbers of relatives of these people. If we don’t have notification by Feb. 28, 2013, the cemetery will reclaim them,” Nickole said.

If you have any information on these plots contact Nickole Robbins, 299 River Road, Grace Idaho, 83241, (208) 221-6556 or the sexton Guy Robbins at (208) 221-8160.
